As part of the Ubuntu Street Fit international cooperation project, Ms Bongiwe Majola, Deputy Head of the Sports Department of the municipality of Durban, and Ms Thabile Mngomezulu, representative of the Department of Intergovernmental Relations, are currently on a mission to La Réunion.
They were received at the Hôtel de Région by @patriciaprofil_officiel, Regional Councillor responsible for sport, the arts and international relations, at Le Port Town Hall and by the association @defilenaiguille974 .
They also visited major sports complexes ( @ville_saintpierre , @ville_saintdenis @villeduport @villedeletangsale @saintlouis_villedepassion in order to observe the infrastructures dedicated to calisthenics and to study their potential for adaptation. This innovative equipment will shortly be handed over to the local communities, marking the official launch of the project and strengthening the links between the partner regions.
